The list of diseases attributable to bad diet and an unhealthy lifestyle is far too long. Obesity is at its highest levels in history, including among our children. Fully 61 percent of Americans are suffering and trapped within their own prison of being overweight and lacking proper nutrition, and almost half of those, about 27 percent, are clinically obese – overweight to the point where they are hopeless and have given up.
To compound the problem, millions of dollars are spent on advertising aimed to persuade these overweight people to continue indulging in empty calories, as they remain passive viewers watching hours of violence on television. This is a global issue because everyone suffers when health is a low priority.

The food industry is relentless in its hard-hitting, sexy advertising that promotes junk-food and celebrity worship. The majority of these packaged, processed foods and drinks not only lack nutritional value, but also contribute to the overweight condition and health problems.
The good news is that more and more people are asking intelligent questions and have the desire to become conscious consumers of wellness products is growing rapidly. People are discovering that an unhealthy lifestyle has a detrimental impact on heart, brain, psychological and spiritual health.
One of the greatest challenges today is to sort through the mountains of available data to discover which products and services are worth the time and money. There is a delicate balance that is essential to make great choices – and the balance lies somewhere between optimism and calling seeing through foolishness.
